We do it a bit differently. Whole class was crazy and I never was able to
get to know them as readers and people! Each day approx. four K's from
both classes come down for a 15-minute mini lesson/book checkout at the
start of the day. Monday the same 4 from each class. Tuesday the same
four etc. If they are absent their day, they join another day. It allows
us to personalize more easily and get in some library skills because there
are only up to 8 or 9 at a time. I really get to know them well! It's
easy and fun and I think they enjoy it more, too!
