[aisle] Kindergarten checkouts - need tips and tricks!

I usually start out limiting them to the E/picture book section the first
few weeks, until they're used to being in the library and checking out
books. Then we take a tour of different sections each week - nonfiction
(esp. wild animals, pets, and natural disasters, which mine seem to
enjoy!), graphic novels, biographies (even Kinders know who Messi is), and
so on, until by the end of the first quarter they are comfortable with the
library. We also work with them on using spacers and self-checkout, as well
as respecting each other's privacy. They learn the same things the older
kids do, but at a slower pace.
