[aisle] Kindergarten checkouts - need tips and tricks!

I start the year out slow and only let them checkout books that are on
display "showing off their covers." Or I have a series of book baskets
with favorite characters, leveled readers, and low level nonfiction by
topic. After a few weeks we start learning how to use a "place stick" to
mark where books go. If they get caught not using their placestick they
have to go back to only choosing from the top for the day.
