[aisle] Copyright Question: Music at a School Dance

Hi everyone, I have a copyright question for you. For our large dances our
school hires a DJ but they are hoping to stream music this time around.

An admin came to me with a valid concern about copyright here. Even if the
music is legally obtained by an individual (think premium Spotify account),
it would be violating copyright to play it at a school dance, wouldn't it?

There is admission being charged BUT it will all just be going back to the
school. I did find some info on admission being charged for educational
purposes is okay in a music performance like a band concert.

However, I'm struggling to find information on streaming and dances
specifically.

Thank you!
