Wow. Illegal was amazing. Great example of a nonfiction graphic novel.

If you want another good recent nonfiction novel (but not a graphic novel), try We Are Here To Stay : Voices of Undocumented Young Adults photographed by Susan Kuklin. It is 9 nonfiction short stories of young adults that are here illegally.

Sincerely,

Alan, Librarian serving Brooks Middle School

Good Morning,
I am looking for RECENT nonfiction books on immigration. This is for 6th grade. The students are studying immigration while also focusing on nonfiction text structures and features. Most of my books are extremely dated.

Thank you in advance.
