[aisle] Hero’s journey picture books

Hello!
I am looking for recommendations for engaging picture books and short stories for a hero’s journey unit in 8th ELA. Students selected book club hero novels, but we are looking for modern and BIOPIC shared class texts (not Greek mythology). 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
