[aisle] 2022 Monarch and Bluestem Nominees

Hello everyone,

Please remember that the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award
organization is a completely separate organization from AISLE. They have
different timelines than AISLE does.
As AISLE developed the Monarch and Lincoln awards, and later the Bluestem,
we have tweaked the timelines and made adjustments to the
selection meetings dates and nominees list release dates. Our current
policy states that winners cannot be on the following year's lists, which
is part of the reason that the lists aren't released until after the voting
window closes (March 15). Another reason is that all of the authors and
illustrators need to be informed before the lists are posted (per policy).
We all feel the frustrations of budgeting (which seem to need to be spent
earlier and earlier). We apologize for the timing.
I have been told that we have a post on the AISLE site that
indicates that the 2022 lists will be released in late February. That post
is incorrect (according to policy). We do have an AISLE Board meeting this
weekend and one question before the Board will be whether to follow policy
or the (incorrect) date posted.
