[aisle] Quarantine time?

We quarantine books 3 days. Our village library does 7, though. 3 days
works well, I believe, especially since books aren't often borrowed the day
they get shelved.
I made magnets (colored cardstock with flat magnets taped on back, all
covered with clear tape) that say "Quarantined until Mon.", "Quarantined
until Thurs." & "Quarantined until Fri."
When students return their books, they hold them out for me to scan
(sliding the bar code under the plexiglass screen) and then place their
book(s) on a nearby long rolly book cart (on which the correct quarantine
magnet is posted). The next day, I turn that cart around or get
another cart, post the correct quarantine magnet on it, and receive more
returned books. The magnets announce to the students and (more importantly)
remind me when the books can be re-shelved.
