[aisle] Looking for Whole School Book Ideas

Hello Collective Mind!
My school is looking for possible titles for a whole school book for grades
6-8.  My admin would like a fiction book that has:
- good moral lesson, but not preachy... or a good moral dilemma
- character(s) overcoming some sort of adversity in a positive way
- perseverance, stick-to-it-iveness
- theme or subject matter that encourages discussion
- feel-good ending
- keeps the 8th graders interested, yet appropriate for 6th grade
- not so popular that they would have all read it (like The One and Only
Ivan, etc.)
- genre doesn't really matter... well, maybe not horror.
- able to be read aloud easily because we are hybrid learning

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!  Thank you for sharing your
brainwaves!
