This hybrid schedule has been so difficult & my library is being used to
space larger groups apart. This is my first year in my current position -
I'm in an 8th grade center, only 2-3 days per week and split my time with a
small elementary building the other days during the week. I would
totally love to follow this conversation!

Here's some of what I've done this year...
* I have gone into ELA classes 1 time per quarter this year to do book
talks.
* I've gone into lunch periods to "show off" new books.
* I'm still doing a book club (held during study hall in person & virtually
& in the evening virtually).
* I made videos of how kids can access Destiny and place a hold & also
created videos on how to access ebooks.
* I have a virtual author visit set for next week - I've been talking up
her books
* We have a reading challenge going using this year's Caudill and Lincoln
books - students will be eligible for many prizes
* I made book carts for the ELA classrooms - students take from the carts
and teachers have been emailing me barcodes
* I also have a library course in our learning management platform (we use
Canvas). I do 1st chapter readings, post my book talk slides, have an area
where kids can suggest books they'd like...
