[aisle] What are your most pressing issues

Low budgets for books that does not include money for "other" materials or furniture. Our entire district changed to grade level centers and so many new needs were created at various schools. Also, paras were removed from the library for next year, so having time to catalog books, shelve books, handle the searching for and checking out needs of students and staff, while also taking care of library maintenance will be important. Not to mention taking time to look for and order books to develop the library while servicing students, staff, and administration.

Jockeying for resources. The District spent so much on technology to make remote learning feasible that there just doesn't seem to be anything left (Yes, I know there are COVID relief funds coming, but I don’t have any confidence we'll see any of it). We didn't get a book budget last year. The District gave all schools sets of books from their diversity fund, but they weren't the ones I would have chosen.

Hi everyone,

Could you please let me know what your pressing issues as you look towards fall?

Budget, regaining space and staff? If you went into classroom last year, are you going back to library?

We want to make sure we are doing everything we can to support you. This information will also be shared with Rails
And IHLS Systems.
