[aisle] Book Fair

I just finished an in-person Follett fair. It was very different from the one I had last year at this time, but we were still able to bring in $1000 (compared to almost $5000 last year).
Our school is currently not allowing any parents into the building (even to the office), so all purchases were made by/through the students. Some brought money and the flyer that had gone home with their selections circled, others just had money to browse. I usually do a preview day where all 800 students get a chance to look around. That was not able to happen this spring either, so students really didn't know what we had, until they came to shop.
My biggest issue was that I usually remind them about tax when they come for the preview day, and I didn't have that opportunity, so there were some instances where they had to keep their money for an extra day so they could go home and get a little more to pay for the tax.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
Good luck with your fair!

Hi all,

I am guessing the answer is no, but has anyone done an in-person book fair this year? Or plan to by the end of the year?

Any thoughts on the planning or management of the fair?

I know there are options for digital, too, but they don't seem to be very successful in terms of sales.
