[aisle] Have you painted metal library shelves?

I have had Kathy's experience - I had a metal, perfectly functional book
truck that was in danger of being scrapped because it looked so bad. As
with any painting project, prep is the most important step! Sand out the
rust and other stains, and lightly rough up the other surfaces with
sandpaper. Clean well, and paint with Rustoleum. I started with a spray
can, and our custodian finished it with brush on. 10 years later, still
looks like new.
