Things have certainly changed this school year! I’m sure it hasn’t been
easy, but you have done your best to continue to get books into the hands
of your students. That is one thing that won’t change. Your students still
need access to great titles, the Readers’ Choice programs have some of
those great titles, and you can always use additional copies of those great
titles. So while you’re balancing your different responsibilities,
consider taking some time to apply for an LBSS Readers’ Choice grant. All
the details you need are at *https://www.lbssfund.org/
<https://www.lbssfund.org/>*. Please read everything carefully and make
sure you’ve thoroughly answered all the questions before you submit your
application. Grant readers can only score grants based on what you’ve told
them. Remember that both school and public libraries are eligible for this
grant.

A question that surfaces frequently involves being officially registered
for the Readers’ Choice program. The 2021 Readers’ Choice year has just
ended, and your application will be for the 2022 Readers’ Choice year. The
grant deadline is April 30 and you must be registered for the 2022 Readers’
Choice program by then.

The LBSS Board looks forward to hearing about the great Readers’ Choice
program your students will enjoy next year.
