Here is something from an older version of Destiny but it that might help.
This process is great for weeding too:
1. Login as Library Administrator.
2. Select the Reports tab > Click on Library Reports from the light green
menu bar.
3. Scroll down to the Statistics section Select the Title/Copy Data link.
4. Enter the Call Number range that you are looking at > Include the
Association Patron Data > Click the Extract button.
5. Once the report has processed, click the View link > Download the XML
file.
6. Name the file > Click the Save button.
7. Open Excel and then go to File and open your weeding document > A small
XML window opens > Choose to open it As an XML table > Allow Excel to
create a schema based on the XML source data.
8. This is a very wide document so delete columns that are not needed.
(Ex.Generated, LCCN, ISBN, Material Type,Status, Date Last Accounted for…)
Be sure to keep Copy Barcode, Call Number, Title, Author, Publication Year
and Total Circulations. You should end up with 6 basic columns.
9. Sort by Publication Year and then look at the Total Circulations. Sort
by Call Number to make finding books easier. Use your professional
judgement from here.
