I’m not in Kane County but I’ve attended other programs their ROE has done and was very impressed. Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

Subject: [aisle] March 4 County Institute

I wanted to put some information out about the March 4th institute day for librarians. The Kane ROE will be hosting an institute at the Q-Center in St. Charles, IL. The keynote speakers (one at the beginning of the day and one at the end of the day) will focus on SEL and equity in general, not specific to libraries but as we know still very applicable to what we do. The sessions during the day will be library specific. I will be helping the ROE find speakers for the sessions. All librarians are welcome to attend the conference. It will be free for Kane librarians (lunch and snacks included), and there will be a fee if you are out of the county. I will have an exact price at a later date. If you are a speaker from out of the county, the conference fee will be waived.

Here is the note from the Kane ROE.

"We ask that you consider presenting at Institute Day 2022, on March 4th to make this year’s event even more successful than ever before! Our session length will be 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you would be willing to be a presenter at Kane County Institute Day 2022 please fill out this form.<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd8hmHGFfdEcAGQaBZ_ciI7I76BBuNBRW9s6HdBP85kPD9ArA/viewform?usp=sf_link> Please note: If there is a fee for your presentation, please include that information in “Please list any technology needed”.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to contact Raven Szalkowski, rszalkowski at kaneroe.org<mailto:rszalkowski at kaneroe.org> 630-762-2056.
