[aisle] Is One Piece Suitable for Middle School?

Common sense Media called it YA. It has quite a bit of language in it, in
later ones some sexual situations, nudity due to bath traditional Japanese
bathing houses. Some drinking/smoking/substances, etc. That is all in the
original anime. The books could be different: better or worse. Japanese
cultural standards, especially for nudity, are different. When anime is
made for US audiences, they often edit it a bit. The books could be based
on the original Japanese versions or the edited US ones. Furthermore, some
books could be based on one and some the other! I would hesitate, but if
you have other YA manga then it would probably be on that level. Good luck!
