I wanted to share this opportunity that you can share with your teachers
and look like a rock star!

UIUC is offering a free course that will help you start a school garden.
See the information below from Dale Kehr.

*Growing School Gardens - Free Online course*

This self-paced online course will teach you how to incorporate a garden
into the school environment. One topic will be released each week with an
optional virtual meeting once a month. You will have a garden plan to get
your school garden project started at the end of the course.

Topics include:

   - Building a garden team
   - Establishing a garden plan
   - Selecting a curriculum
   - Practicing good food safety
   - Identifying nutrition from the garden
   - Determining what to grow
   - Supporting harvest activities
   - Funding and grant writing resources
   - And much more!

*Register by October 26, 2021 at *go.illinois.edu/SchoolGardenOnlineCourse

The program begins on November 2, 2021 and ends on February 28, 2022.
