We usually do some type of food but may have packaged this year for them to take with. For students who read 10-20 books, they can also pick a book from next year’s list to keep.

We are doing prepacked food items that they can enjoy either after or before school.

Hi all,

Neverending debate...to give prizes for reading or not...

In the past I used to host a "surprise dessert party" for kids who read 3 Caudills, then they'd vote at the party. We can't do food parties right now. I am struggling with how much external motivation I should create. For not just the Caudills, but my other reading programs, too.

What do you do? Prizes? Events?

I appreciate your suggestions.
