[aisle] Deleting LOST Books From Your System

My time marker is 5 years when the book is lost by either student or teacher. I believe it learned that number in library school. Could be wrong- it was 14 years ago.
If book was marked lost or damaged- I delete it when I either reorder or if I don’t want it. Same with fine. What’s the point of having a blank MARC record it one with no copies?
I delete anything older or paid for after I finish inventory in that building. When I first started, there were over 30,000 lost titles on the list. It took me 5 years to get through them all. Now that I understand what lost means in Destiny, I teach it to my assistants. There are other choices that can be set up instead -like damaged.

Hope this helps
