[aisle] 808.1 vs. 811 for Poetry books?

LOL  I whooped out my older edition (1997, yeah but they are expensive!) of
Sears Subject Heading guide!  I hope this helps.  :)

809.1
Use for general materials on poetry, not for individual words.  Material on
the history and criticism of poetry from more than one literature are
entered under Poetry--History and criticism 809.1.  Material on the art and
technique of poetry are entered under Poetics 808.1.  Collections of poetry
are entered under Poetry--Collections: English Poetry--Collections 821;
American Poetry--Collections 811.54 pre21st century, 811.6 21st century on
etc.

Poetics (Now called Rhetoric of poetry)
808.1

Use for materials on the art and technique of poetry.  General materials on
the appreciations, philosophy, etc. of poetry are entered under Poetry
