Hello you wonderful Librarians!  I am in need of your thoughts today.  I have a teacher looking for a book from her childhood.

Her description:
children painting eggs but then the eggs hatch and the chicks are the same colour as the shell

I have no idea what this book is but thought one of you might be familiar with it.
