[aisle] book search!

This is probably wrong, but the only one that comes to mind is Left for
Dead by Pete Nelson about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis.

Blue cover, ship on the cover, but there is a shark too, and I would
imagine the student would remember the part about the sharks! Nothing about
mission, so that is why I don't think it is the one, but just in case!
