I love this idea too!
Do you ask permission of the author in order to use their book?

I am so glad you asked this question, Alan. Being a middle school librarian, I never really thought about a book walk before. Now I am ALL over doing something like this. Where do you start? Has anyone done this that could offer up advice/expertise?? This would be an awesome and fun collaboration with PE. :)

Good morning,

Great news!!! Our PE teachers are doing a book walk during our family reading night.

Well, now for the tougher part, they wanted ideas of what books they could do in the gym… I’m at a middle school. Anyone do a book walk with your PE teachers? Any suggested titles/activities?

Thanks,
Alan, librarian serving Brooks Middle School in Bolingbrook
