A student is looking for a book that she can't remember the title of. Here
are the details:

   - Brother and sister go to the beach
   - The brother meets a girl and they have weird connections
   - They all (brother, sister, girl) have strange eye colors and symbols
   (like birthmarks) on their bodies.
   - The brother and sister MIGHT have been mermaids but not sure... the
   girl has no idea what is going on.
   - The cover may have been purple or blue

Any help is appreciated.
