[aisle] Audiobook site ??

I have a 45-90 minute commute so I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I use Audible, my school’s eReads Illinois, and my public library’s Overdrive/Libby. I also discovered Chirp (https://www.chirpbooks.com/). I’ve gotten audiobooks for $1.99. There is no membership fee for Chirp and the app is free to install. The deals are usually older books which is fine with me. I’m able to catch up with some older mystery series that I haven’t read in years! With these options, I usually have been able to find the audiobook I want to listen to.

Thank you Cathy for mentioning Libro.FM. I will have to check that out as well.

I thought between listening on the road and reading each evening, I’d catch up on my TO READ list, however I have noticed my TO READ list is growing even quicker since I moved!

We tried to sign up for ereads illinois and our district would not pay for it. I do use Overdrive/Libby. It's my public library material. but it's SO limited...rarely any new material. I have used Audible in the past but got sick of paying for it for one book a month....I use it to read material for my job as an LRC director. It's been forever since I've read an adult book just for me :) Appreciate you asking...

I can’t offer insight on your question, but does your public library offer eRead Illinois (OverDrive/Libby app) or Hoopla? I am a huge audiobook listener, also use Audible, and find that I am never out of books between those other two platforms. Is this for school or personal use?

Hello all,
I get through a LOT of books using Audible but I'm looking for a site that doesn't cost a monthly fee. I do use my public library but the audiobooks are very limited. Is there a site for educators possibly that is cheaper than Audible's $15 a month?

Thanks for your help,
