Hi friends!

We are looking into moving to a flex schedule in our library and I'd like
to get ideas of how to move forward. We are grades 3-5 and I currently
teach 25 classes (30 minutes each) and facilitate 25 checkouts (15 minutes
each) every week, which leaves very little time for much else. I'm hoping
to gather some information to bring to my principal about any of the
following:

Has flex scheduling allowed you to collaborate more with colleagues?
Has it freed up time for other opportunities? (reading initiatives,
makerspace, book fairs, author visits, etc.)
How do teachers schedule lessons?
Do you still have prescriptive lessons you teach each year?
Do you have open check out times?
What barriers did you encounter? (i.e. changes to teacher plan time)
Any other input or advice you have for moving forward?

Thank you!

Becky
