[aisle] Do you use the monarch list as an uncertified librarian?

I'm an uncertified assistant, and I run the Monarch and Bluestem programs
in our building, under the supervision of the Media Specialist.

I find the nominated books are generally very good. We focus on the
Monarchs for story time, and I booktalk the Bluestem nominees. As I said,
the majority of the nominees are really good, and our students are excited
to read them. I also find that getting funding to buy these 35-40 books for
a specific program is easier than getting a dollar amount to refresh our
collection. đŸ˜¬

Good luck on your renewal!
