Rodent, by Lisa J. Lawrence
Find Layla, by Meg Elison
Sadie, by Courtney Summers
Too Shattered for Mending, by Peter Brown Hoffmeister
Winter's Bone, by Daniel Woodrell
I'll add that all of these titles are best for older kids and are pretty dark.

Hi all,

I have a student looking for books where the child/older sibling has to act as the parent, preferably fiction. Any recommendations that come to mind?

Thanks!
