[aisle] Dewey hacks?

Recently, there was a thread discussing the assigned call number for
poetry, and several people responded that they label all poetry under 811
to make the titles easier for students to locate.
Does anyone do similar things for other parts of their nonfiction
collection?  I am in a high school library and I am looking for ways to
make it easier for students to locate what they are looking for.  Adding
abundant signage was a start, but I am now looking at how books are
classified as well.
