[aisle] To lend or not to lend (headphones)

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or success with lending
headphones. They are a "required" school supply here and yet many students
forget them. Daily we have several students who come in and borrow a pair
for an assignment, to listen to something while they work or any other
number of reasons. I don't love lending them out to individual students.
I have heard of some methods where a librarian may have a box of 10
for *teacher
*checkout, but don't lend to individual students sporadically throughout
the day.

I was just hoping someone had some creative ideas for making this less of a
problem in the library.

Thanks!
Kori
