  Lake Forest Community High School District 115 is seeking an energetic
and creative individual to serve as a part-time (0.87 FTE) assistant in our
state-of-the art library/media center.

*Description:* The assistant supports librarians in teaching information
literacy skills and promoting literacy throughout the school community. The
assistant aids students, teachers and librarians in identifying resources
and materials for use with curricular assignments and independent reading.
Additionally, the assistant supervises students in the Library to maintain
a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning.

*Compensation:*  $17.00 minimum to start based on experience. Competitive
benefits package offered.
*Hours Worked:* 9am-4pm

*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:*

   - Creating displays showcasing library materials (print and digital)
   - Managing various social media accounts and community outreach
   - Overseeing circulation of materials
   - Maintaining library records and inventory
   - Providing support and troubleshooting library information technologies
   - Supervising and assisting students

*Qualifications:*

   - Experience assisting students with academic research tasks and student
   supervision - *preferred*
   - Illinois Professional Educator License with Stipulations (PARA)
   - Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while working with
   the interruptions of an active, student-centered environment.
   - Experience assisting students with academic research tasks and student
   supervision - *preferred*
   - Knowledge of library resources and library programming experience –
   *preferred*
   - A working knowledge of Google apps - *preferred*
