[aisle] Book Recommendations Needed

I concur with *Eleanor and Park*.

If she can be persuaded to try another genre, there are some great fantasy
series that are sophisticated but at an appropriate reading level - Harry
Potter, Fablehaven, Gregor the Overlander, Land of Stories, etc. Skewing a
little older are the Lunar Chronicles. I also wonder about Haddix's *The
Shadow Children* series. It is at an elementary reading level, but the
issues are more adult. My K-4s don't pick up on the politics of the 2-child
law, but your high schooler might!
