Hi Eden!
I have an Air 2 and a Cameo Professional, and I'd recommend the Cameo over
the Cricut (but they're both great). There's a little bit of a learning
curve with the software, but when you learn it, the Cameo is much more
customizable. You don't need the Professional model, but it is nice to have
such a large one- I can do multiple jobs at a time.

I have instructions for file types on my library website and a form where
kids can submit a file to be cut. Kids can design their own svgs in free
web-based programs on their Chromebooks (like freephototool.com), and then
all I need to do is bring them into Silhouette Studio to cut. Super simple.
I copied off of my public library's 3D printer procedures, so I can't take
credit for my process- it's a really smooth way to do it.
