[aisle] Elementary Censorship Question?

Colleen.

I'm sorry you're going through this. My suggestion is to first encourage
your principal to follow your current challenge policy exactly as it is. If
the policy states the book is not removed during the challenge process
(which is the current recommendation from most organizations), then make
sure it is not removed during the challenge process.

I wish you the best. Reach out to library support organizations if you need
help through the process--from what I hear ALA has not been very responsive
to people seeking help, unfortunately (but still report the challenge to
their Office of Intellectual Freedom).

Good luck!
