[aisle] [External] Scary Books for Teenagers?

I actually like scary stuff a lot. :)

I started reading Stephen King in middle school, so I'd always recommend
his stuff to high schoolers. If the length intimidates them, go with the
shorts- Full Dark No Stars, Skeleton Crew, and Night Shift are great. If it
doesn't, Pet Sematary, Christine, and Tommyknockers are good first ones to
try. King is one of the most popular authors in my library.

I find true crime way scarier than even King, but it has to be good
true crime. The tabloid-type stuff is terrible. The Stranger Beside Me by
Ann Rule would get them hooked on the genre.
