<p style="font-family: Calibri;">Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 is seeking a<b> Spark Lab Facilitator</b> at Deer Path Middle School-West.<br>
<br>
<strong>Description:</strong> The Spark Lab Facilitator models skillful and innovative instructional practices such as design thinking and student-directed learning. The facilitator develops individual and team knowledge and skills to incorporate Markerspace
activities in meaningful ways to support, extend, and enrich student learning. <br>
<br>
<strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<ul style="font-family: Calibri;">
<li>Facilitate and supervise student-driven innovation projects in the Spark Lab</li><li>Support and collaborate with middle school faculty regarding innovative curricular connections related to maker activities and promote the use of the design thinking process</li><li>Maintain an inventory of the materials in the Spark Lab and place orders as needed</li><li>Establish a strong understanding of the tools and technology within the space</li><li>Provide orientation and ongoing support to teachers who wish to use the space</li><li>Develop procedures and expectations to ensure student safety</li><li>Coordinate room reservations and schedules</li><li>Advise building administration on additions to enhance the use of the Spark Lab</li></ul>
