<p class="MsoNormal"><a name="_MailEndCompose"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D">We are in our 3<sup>rd</sup> year of 1-1 with Chromebooks. True, students don’t need to come to the library to use computers any
more, but we still have students coming in during study halls. We also have some blended learning classes, where students have some days where they work online instead of in class, and they often come to the library. We added some collaborative spaces for
students to work together – small rooms with a monitor to which students connect their Chromebooks, tall tables (with plugs – added bonus) and café style tables with benches. We are also open during all lunch periods for students. They don’t need a pass
to come, but they also can’t eat in the library. We are full before school and during the lunch periods. Students do socialize, but they also do a lot of homework. The novelty has worn off the study rooms as well, and they are much more likely to be working
on projects than watching YouTube now. We also reach out to teachers to bring their classes down for a change of scenery and more room to spread out. They really like this when they are working on group projects.<o:p></o:p></span></a></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Hello! We are going 1:1 next year and I'm trying to envision how that will look for the high school. library or Learning Commons as we call it. We are a large high school of about 1800 students. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Right now, we house most of the Chromebooks. Students receive a pass to come in through study hall or their 5th hour advisory classroom. This does cause alot of traffic for us. We also allow ten seniors an hour to have an all semester "pass."
These students come in daily and can work or not work on whatever as long as they are quiet. <o:p></o:p></p>

to socialize. I want the LC to be like a college library...quiet yet relaxing, a place where you can work and if you are finished a place to relax and read. <o:p></o:p></p>
