<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">We have had a poster printer for 13 years now. It is always being used. Teachers use it to make large posters of things they want students to see all of the time. We laminate them for longer life. We also use it to
make posters of up coming events like Family Nights, musical presentations, dress up days, etc. The PTO uses it to advertise fund raisers and special PTO sponsored events. I use it in the library to make posters of students who won the Battle of the Books,
large record keeping charts for reading incentive programs. instructions for access to the online catalog, AR, World Book Online. We use it to advertise author visits and book fairs.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">We have an HP that prints a poster 22x34. It can also be used as a color printer and will take 8.5x11" paper or card stock. I think I replace the ink about twice a year. Our school has about 45 certified staff who
all use the printer. We have only replaced it once in 13 years do to worn out parts.</p>

<div>Our school is tossing the idea around of getting a poster printer. Those of you that have them, what are the pros/cons? What should I look for in a printer? Which brands hold up the best? Which ones should be avoided? </div>
