In the past, I was asked to sub a period here, a period there, almost every day of the week. Then I had my evaluation and my admin complained that I was not out collaborating more. I said I was being a good team player and helping out with subbing. She told me that I needed to start saying no when "asked" to sub, so I did. We have different administration now, so it is starting off the year a bit differently. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">I chalk our lack of a sub pool to our "reputation" of student behavior, but our district is also starting a concerted effort to teach the kids how to treat substitutes. So far, so good.
