<div dir="ltr">In the past, kids have brought up a book marked "last copy" and ordered a copy, which was then delivered to the school the week after the book fair ended. I hold 2 fairs a year with Scholastic. I have a winter fair (starting tomorrow) and then I do a fair at the end of May. While I always ask myself why in the heck am I doing a fair so late in the year, it's absolutely worth it. I work in a 6-8 building and my students all have summer reading requirements. I work with Scholastic to try to get all those titles, plus titles that our local high school is assigning for their incoming 9th grader (our graduating 8th grade). My May book fair is much more scaled-down in size, but it's still awesome. <div><br></div><div>It's great to see books in their hands when the kids leave for the summer. I also run a book club during the year and we get together at the May fair and choose our summer book from the fair that we all read. I use my Scholastic Dollars to purchase those books then loan them out to my book clubbers.
