The work is thoroughly enjoyable, but the district did not want to pay to hire an accredited librarian. I have a degree in English from U. of I. but cannot see the point in furthering my education. The district would no longer want to keep me employed at a teacher's salary plus the need to cover insurance costs. <div>Across the state schools are cutting funds to libraries. I feel like we're fighting an uphill battle, so I'm happy to keep up the battle in my current situation.
I'd also be happy to join AISLE, but $85 is a bit steep for me at this point.
