In a meeting with the architects and consultants I mentioned that I did not want a huge circulation desk like we have now. The architects took that to mean I did not want a desk at all and the plans came back with no circ desk and two kiosks by the doors for self checkout. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Of course the administration has fallen in love with these ideas, and the plans have no where on the floor for a staff workspace. I’ve explained that we need a spot to actually work at and the response was the entire library is our office. Does anyone have a library with no staff workspace? If so how do you like it? </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Does anyone who recently renovated a space have any articles that support having a central point of contact in the library so that students know where they can find assistance?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks</div><div class=""><br class=""><div class="">
