<p class="MsoNormal">As a former Bluestem committee person, I can tell you that the fee goes to help us facilitate our annual meeting, and our board meeting. At least part of it. Every year the 50+ readers and committee persons meet in person to put together
the Next year’s list of 20 nominees. We give a continental breakfast, beverages and a lunch to all who attend. Some travel great distances to take part in this meeting.
