<p class="MsoPlainText">I was privileged to first meet this group when they came into my high school library. 6 speakers over two days. Nearly every student was able to participate in at least one speaker session; and what they heard – the story of the Holocaust
as told by a survivor or the children of survivors – brought the history they had been studying to life. The audience was rapt, the questions came fast and furiously, and many, many students came up to the speaker afterwards to make that important personal
connection.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">I’ve been privileged to work with this group ever since then, and now, during this time of sheltering-in-place, and for those not residing in Sonoma County CA, the project speakers are available to you and your students via zoom or

with your time frame and availability. The group will put out the call to those speakers who can come during this time. Once you are in touch with the presenter, you will be able to determine the best format for you and your students. There are options you

<p class="MsoPlainText">This is an incredible opportunity for your students to engage in-person with a survivor as they learn more from this first hand history.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">These speakers are not just for History class, however – share with your psychology, government, language arts and music teachers too!<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText">I’m helping to get the word out because I saw the reactions of the students who attended our sessions at the library and I know that they left with lasting impressions of how history really is a part of their lives today. They’re putting
together some great videos and virtual in-person presentations and are now ready to get into classrooms .
