Our students do a communities project, and come from a variety of different suburbs, so we use that project and the PL to get community history and get used to using the public library website. We also bookmark it and it becomes a "free time" choice. Super fun to see the kids choose the public library site over abcya or <a href="http://recess.com">recess.com</a> etc. This did take some backend work where I set up the school cards, understood the PL offerings, and how it could fit into our curriculum.
