<div dir="ltr">I do prizes for every 5 books they read and take quizzes on. They are things like tell a joke on the AM announcements, help with book checkin, sit in a special seat, eat their lunch in the library with 2 friends and play games during recess if they want to stay.... the only ones that cost me money are a treasure chest that I fill with stuff from the dollar store and for 50 books, they get a free book which I have a pile that I have collected over the years. Otherwise, they are just things that they can do. For some it really works, so I guess it's worth it.
