[Digital Library] updates from the ECC Executive Committee

I am leaning towards Tiffany Amschl on this. You can only read one book, maybe two at a time. So the increased number of simultaneous check-outs seems to be moving in the wrong direction if we want to serve as many patrons as possible. The increase in holds also seems counter productive as well.

Hi Pam -

Thank you guys for being proactive. My only concern with increasing the holds/checkout limits is that if we get more people using the service because they can't get physical books and others checkout more items at one time, there will be fewer things actually available to anyone. So please keep an eye on that. I'm not sure I see the benefit of one person having ten items checked out unless they only have one card to use per a whole family.

On another note, do you have any information on settings that are blocking patrons from using the service, such as fines owed? Is that consortia-wide or local? I looked in Overdrive admin because I read something about changing your blocked threshold amount, but I didn't see anything on my end.
