[Digital Library] updates from the ECC Executive Committee

Thanks for all you are doing. I know this is probably a stupid question....but how do I turn on Advantage plus? Is that something the admin does or do we do it at a local level? Thanks

We hope that this email finds everyone safe and healthy. The ECC Executive Committee wanted to share some updates and next steps that we are working on in response to changes in services that many of our member libraries are making to better serve our patrons during this unprecedented situation, and to ensure that the Digital Library of Illinois consortium can respond to a potential increase in patron demand and stay up-to-date on publishers' responses to the COVID-19 crisis. 
    
   - We have temporarily raised the hold and checkout limits for the consortium to 10. We will monitor the impact over the next few weeks and make changes as the situation warrants.
   - We will be monitoring and expediting holds orders for the consortium, including purchasing additional copies of popular Macmillan titles to fill holds once they are available for purchase. 
   - We encourage member libraries to consider turning on Advantage Plus sharing, if you haven't already.
   - We are postponing discussion and voting on bylaw changes until further notice. 
 
We will continue to share news about publisher changes and free/low cost resources available to libraries.
