Hi, congrats on your author visit! I haven't had him, but I have hosted
others. Read as many of his books as you can to the kids, give them
interesting background bio information about him, talk up any awards he has
won, share photos and video clips of him so they will recognize him. I'd
print signs using Google docs with his photo and photos of his books and
put them in places kids will see them -- like over the water fountain and
on the hallway restroom door. You can make up fact hunts for them to look
up information about him on his website. I'm sure a google search will turn
up lots of activities for his books. If you use Google Drive, put
everything in a folder to share with teachers. And take book orders. Your
enthusiasm will carry the day. On the day of the visit, arrange for his
lunch and provide water bottles. Welcome signs and/or student-created art
near the main entrance and in the room where he speaks are also appreciated.

Best wishes for a great visit!
